Ft. Lauderdale Marriott donates to Shipwreck Park

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (February 13, 2019) – AND Fish Kitchen + Bar, South Florida’s newest fresh-catch culinary experience located inside the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa, celebrated its grand opening on Thursday, February 7, with a ribbon-cutting, reception and a check presentation to Shipwreck Park Pompano Beach, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the creation of an underwater park system establishing artificial reefs and utilizing public art to raise awareness of preserving and conserving South Florida’s natural coral reef system. Funds were raised for the organization though an exclusive friends and family preview dinner held earlier in the week.

In attendance at the grand opening was City of Pompano Beach Mayor Rex Hardin along with Jean McIntyre, executive director of the Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce and local dignitaries, media and foodies. Guests were treated to a signature Lobster Roll station, oysters, assorted hors d’oeuvres, boutique wines, champagne and hand-crafted cocktails while they enjoyed the festive, tropical ambience of the beachside resort and a spectacular Florida sunset.
